A collection of images from the most isolated island in the world, Rapa Nui. The pictures were taken during my two visits in 1998 and 2005.

  • Personal Favorites
A selection of my 24 favorite images of Easter Island.

  • Rapa Nui East and North
The island's North and East include many of the "Must see"- highlights of Rapa Nui, like the "quarry" Rano Raraku with Moai Hinariru and Piro Piro, Ahu Tongariki, the beautiful beaches of Anakena and Ovahe and the northern Ahu Nau Nau, Ahu Ature Huki and Ahu Te Pito Kura.

  • Rapa Nui West and South
In the vicinity of the only village, Hanga Roa, are several important highlights like Rano Kau with the Orongo ceremonial village (birdman cult) and the outlying islands Motu Nui, Motu Kao Kao and Motu Iti, the Ahus Tahai, Vai Ure, Ko Te Riku and A Kivi and the "man-eater" cave Ana Kai Tangata.
